With all the talks of the global economic slowdown, it’s no secret that more people are saving their money rather than blowing it. Apollo decided he would hit up Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and show you penny-pinchers what you’re missing out on. When Apollo arrived at Harrah’s, he found the parking lot to be a complete disaster due to all the construction. He did notice that the ‘new parts’ of the casino look to be much bigger than the existing old parts. Apollo hopes that the recent add-ons to Harrah’s help it reach more of the grandieur scale that her Las Vegas counterparts currently enjoy.
Apollo quickly befriended a retired old chronic gambler that says he spends $300-800 at Harrah’s per week. According to this dude, most of the time he heads home with $300-800 less than he came with. He told Apollo that the last time he was at Harrah’s, one of the wise casino bathroom attendants told him never to play the quarter machines on the weekdays. This guy was convinced that he received an incredible tip that could potentially end the career of the bathroom person. Apollo believes it’s all a ploy to coax you into the dollar machines.
Apollo was happy to see new construction on the casino, especially during these rough economic times. Apollo is glad that money is being spent in the right spots.
All in all, Apollo thought Harrah’s in Cherokee was a bit too slow-moving for him. It seemed like a nice quiet casino for the older crowd, but the young hipster dufus’ of the world probably prefer a more kicking atmosphere. Apollo was also a bit surprised to learn that the Cherokee Indian Reservation is dry. Girls in jeans serving sodas and coffee contrast the skimpy cocktail serving chicks abundant in The Meadows in the desert.
